Product Description
Most claw clips are organic shapes — shells, bananas, curves that follow the head. This one is drawn with a ruler: a hard rectangle with a rectangular window cut through the middle, straight edges, square corners. It reads as architecture rather than accessory, and it is the shape minimalist and workwear-adjacent brands ask for by name.
The Cut-Out Is Structural, Not Just Visual
Removing the centre panel does two things beyond the look. It takes weight out of the top of the clip, so a large size does not drag the bun backwards. And it lets air and hair through, which is what stops a big flat clip from sitting on top of a bun like a lid rather than gripping into it.
The frame that remains has to carry all the load, which is why this shape only works in a cut material. Acetate is dense and slightly flexible, so a narrow frame holds tension without cracking — injection-moulded plastic in the same geometry snaps at the corners.
Two Sizes That Sell to Different Customers
Small, 7.5 × 2.5 cm. A half-up twist, a fine-hair bun, or a pair worn together. This is the everyday and stacking size.

Tortoiseshell Through the Frame
The stock pattern is classic tortoiseshell, and the geometric shape shows it off unusually well: because the frame is narrow, you see the amber and dark brown layers meeting at the cut edges, which is where acetate looks most obviously like a material rather than a colour. Spring and Hardware
The spring is set into a recessed housing so it sits flush with the frame — on a squared clip a proud spring housing is immediately visible and cheapens the whole piece. Spring tension is specified separately from the shape: a large clip holding thick hair needs a stronger spring than the same shape in a small size, and getting that wrong is the most common reason a claw clip fails in the field rather than on the shelf.

Samples, Lead Times & Shipping
Samples
Samples from an existing mould ship against a sample fee that is credited back against your first bulk order. Custom-tooled samples are quoted case by case.

Production
Bulk production starts once the pre-production sample is approved in writing. Reorders of a running design are faster, because tooling and colour are already set.

Shipping Terms
FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are all available, by sea or by air, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. DDP is the simplest route for a first order.
