Most headbands are sold on how much hair they hold. This one is sold on the opposite: at 1 cm wide and 15 g it is the acetate headband you stop noticing an hour after putting it on. It pushes the fringe back, holds the hairline, and disappears — which is why the skinny profile keeps reordering long after the wide statement pieces have moved on to the next season.

The band is cut from 3 mm cellulose acetate sheet and heat-bent over a steel form, the same way we shape our claw clips. Three millimetres is the number that makes this product work. Thinner than that and the arc loses its spring — it splays out after a few weeks and never grips again. Thicker, and you are carrying weight on a band that has no business being heavy.
The finished piece measures 14.5 cm across and weighs 15 g. For comparison, an injection-moulded plastic headband of the same size runs 8–10 g and feels like it: hollow, and prone to snapping at the temple. Solid acetate has enough mass to feel like an object worth paying for, and enough memory in the material to spring back to shape after being pushed on and pulled off twice a day.
Every edge is tumble-polished and hand-buffed. On a thin acetate headband the edge is most of the surface area you can actually see, so a rough cut shows up immediately under retail lighting.

All three run on one form and count toward a single minimum, so launching the full range costs no more in tooling than launching one colour. Because the band is narrow, two or three can be worn stacked — a merchandising angle worth building the pack around, and the reason retailers tend to order these in multiples rather than singles.
This is the everyday-wear end of the category. It sells to customers with fine hair who find a wide band heavy, to anyone who wants a headband that works under a helmet or a hat, and as the entry price point in a headband assortment that also carries wider styles. It is also the easiest piece to bundle: a thin band, a matching barrette, and a claw clip cut from the same sheet make a gift set with one pattern running through it.
Minimum is 1,000 pcs per design, with all three colourways counting toward the same order. Brand-exclusive patterns can be cut from our sheet library, and logos go on by recessed ink-fill, hot foil stamping, or laser engraving on the inner arc where they will not rub off against hair.

Make this product your own. Every detail is customizable for orders meeting the MOQ.
Laser engraving, hot stamping, silk screen printing, or UV printing on product body and handle.
Pantone color matching. For acetate: custom tortoiseshell, marble, and unique pattern designs.
Modify dimensions or create entirely new shapes. 2,000+ existing molds or develop new ones.
Kraft boxes, velvet pouches, blister packs, retail-ready display cards. Your brand on every package.
These are the stock colours this shape runs in. Any Pantone reference can be matched on top of them — colour is mixed into the material, not sprayed on the surface, so it never chips or fades.
Send a Pantone code or a physical reference and we will match it on the sample before bulk. See the full pattern library →
Packaging is produced alongside the product and ships as one order. Printed packaging carries its own lead time, so tell us early which route you want.

Samples from an existing mould ship against a sample fee that is credited back against your first bulk order. Custom-tooled samples are quoted case by case.
Bulk production starts once the pre-production sample is approved in writing. Reorders of a running design are faster, because tooling and colour are already set.
FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are all available, by sea or by air, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. DDP is the simplest route for a first order.
Cellulose acetate is a plant-derived, biodegradable material made from wood pulp or cotton fibers. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, it breaks down naturally over time, making it an eco-friendly choice for premium hair accessories. Its unique properties allow for rich color patterns — from classic tortoiseshell to custom marble effects — that cannot be replicated with standard plastics.
As a manufacturer with 25+ years of experience, EcoHairFactory has mastered the intricate process of cellulose acetate production — from sheet selection and pattern matching to precision cutting and multi-stage hand polishing. Each piece undergoes 8–12 finishing steps to achieve the signature smooth, glossy surface that defines high-end acetate accessories.
Below 3 mm the arc loses its spring — it splays out after a few weeks of daily wear and never grips again. Three millimetres is the thinnest section that still returns to shape after being pushed on and pulled off twice a day.
An injection-moulded band of the same size runs 8-10 g against our 15 g. Solid acetate has the mass to feel like a product worth paying for, and it does not snap at the temple the way hollow plastic does.
No. All three run on one form and count toward a single 1,000 pcs minimum, so a full-range launch costs the same in tooling as a single colour.
Yes. We cut from our own sheet library, and a brand-exclusive pattern or a Pantone-matched solid can be developed for your order.
