Two-tone hair accessories are usually printed, sprayed, or moulded in one colour and painted in another — and they all fail the same way, at the wear edge where the second colour rubs off. On this headband the colour split is structural. Two acetate sheets are laminated into a single block before the band is ever cut, so the join runs the full thickness of the material and cannot wear away.
The two sheets are bonded under heat and pressure, then the blank is CNC-cut from the laminated block and heat-bent over a form. Look at the cut edge and you can see both layers running through it — that edge view is the quickest way for a buyer to tell a laminated acetate headband from a painted one.
It also means the diagonal where the colours meet is a real boundary in the material, so it stays crisp instead of blurring the way a sprayed fade does. The trade-off is that the split line is set at the sheet stage: changing where the colours meet is a new lamination, not a new print file. Worth knowing before you finalise a design.
The two are not the same design in different colours — the patterned halves use genuinely different sheet textures, which is why they suit different buyers. Both run on one form and count toward a single minimum.
The band is 14 cm across, 3.8 cm at the widest point, 12 cm tall, and weighs 36 g. That puts it in statement territory — this is a piece that is meant to be seen, and the colour block is what makes it worth seeing. Edges and the inner arc are polished the same as everything else we cut.
Because the pattern is in the sheet rather than on it, no two bands carry identical figuring through the patterned half. That is normal for acetate and worth writing into your product copy rather than treating as a defect — customers who understand it tend to value it.
