Product Description
Most brushes are designed around the head. This one is designed around the grip: a slim 4 cm head on a beech handle with two moulded rubber inserts set into the back, positioned where the thumb and index finger actually land. It is a small change that solves a specific problem — a wet or product-covered hand slipping on lacquered wood mid-stroke.
Why Narrow Beats Wide Here
A 4 cm head sounds like a limitation until you use it on the jobs it is built for. Narrow heads get into a beard, along a hairline, and under a section being lifted for styling — places a paddle brush physically cannot reach. They also work on short hair, where a wide head just skates across the top without engaging.
At 21.5 cm overall the brush is long enough for a proper handle but slim enough to sit in a barber’s tool roll or a dopp kit. It is the format that sells into men’s grooming and barbershop supply rather than the bathroom cabinet.
Boar Bristle and Nylon, Set in Rows
The head carries mixed boar bristle and nylon filament in tight rows rather than a scattered cushion pattern. Rows matter on a narrow head: they let you comb-and-brush in one motion, laying hair down in a defined direction. That is the technique behind a sharp fade blend, a trained beard, and a slicked side part — all styles where control beats coverage.
Boar bristle carries oil from the scalp down the hair and adds shine; nylon supplies stiffness so the rows do not collapse under pressure. On coarse or curly hair the nylon does most of the work; on fine hair the boar does.
The Rubber Grip Inserts
The two inserts are moulded and set into recesses in the beech, not glued to the surface, so they sit flush and cannot peel away over time. They are supplied in black as standard and can be moulded in a brand colour on bulk orders — an unusual branding opportunity, because the grip is what the customer looks at while using the brush.
Beech was chosen for the handle because it stays stable when it gets damp, which is not true of every hardwood, and because it takes a clean lacquer without raising grain.
Where It Fits a Range
This is a specialist rather than a hero product, and it sells best as the second or third SKU in a men’s line. The natural companions are a beard brush and comb set for grooming positioning, or a full-size paddle if the line is unisex.
Logos go on the flat handle back by laser engraving, or onto the rubber inserts by moulding. Send your spec to our OEM team, or see the wider brush range for shapes that pair with it.

Bristle & Pin Options
The bristle set changes the feel, the target hair type and the price. All four run on this same body, so you can switch without new tooling.
Anti-Static Stainless Steel PinSmooth ball-tipped steel pins that glide through wet or dry hair without static. The default on this brush.
Nylon Ball-Tip PinFlexible and forgiving — the gentlest option, and the usual pick for detangling and kids lines.
