Cut and Sanded, Not Moulded

Every tooth is sawn from solid wood and then hand-sanded until the tip is fully rounded. That last step is what separates a wooden comb that feels good from one that scratches, and it is also the step that is invisible in photographs — which is why cheap wooden combs look identical online and feel completely different in the hand.

The surface is finished with clear lacquer, so the warm honey grain stays visible and the comb keeps a slight natural sheen rather than a plastic gloss. Wood does not build a static charge the way plastic does, so hair lies down instead of flying up — the single most common reason customers switch away from plastic combs.

There is no handle here, so the logo goes on the spine — the solid band above the teeth. It is a narrow strip, which rules out large marks and favours a wordmark or a compact monogram. Laser engraving is the only method we recommend: printed ink on a comb spine wears off against pocket seams within weeks.
