Product Description
Wide-tooth combs are the one hair tool that curly, coily and thick-haired customers research before buying. They know what a bad one does — it snags, it snaps wet hair, and it leaves the ends looking chewed. What they are looking for is tooth spacing, tip shape, and a material that does not generate static. This comb is built around those three things.
Bamboo, and Why It Suits a Comb Specifically
The blank is hot-press laminated moso bamboo: strips glued and compressed under heat into a board that is denser and less prone to splitting along the grain than solid softwood. On a comb that matters more than on any other product, because a tooth is a thin cantilever — split the grain and it snaps.
Bamboo is also naturally anti-static. Run a plastic comb through dry hair in winter and the hair follows it; bamboo does not build the same charge, so hair lies flat. That single property is what most repeat customers cite, and it is worth putting on the packaging.
We finish bamboo in clear lacquer only. Bamboo under an opaque colour looks like painted wood and loses the visible lamination lines that tell the customer at a glance that it is not plastic.
Rounded Teeth, 15.5 × 6.5 cm
The teeth are set wide and each tip is sanded to a dome rather than left as a cut edge. Rounded tips are the difference between a comb that glides across the scalp and one that scratches it — and they are the first thing to check on any sample, from us or anyone else. Press the comb teeth-down into your palm; you should feel pressure, not points.
The 6.5 cm depth gives a comfortable grip without a handle, and the overall 15.5 cm length covers a full section of long hair in one pass.
Where It Fits Commercially
This comb sells into curly-hair lines, plastic-free bathroom ranges, and hotel and spa amenity programmes where a visibly natural material justifies a higher perceived value than a moulded plastic comb costing a fraction as much.
It pairs naturally with a bamboo cushion brush for a two-piece plastic-free set, and sits alongside the rest of our bamboo collection. For the same wide-tooth format in acetate patterns instead of natural material, see the acetate wide-tooth comb.
Certification and Branding
Our moso bamboo is FSC certified and we supply the certificate with its number, not just a logo — buyers who put a sustainability claim on their packaging are increasingly asked to evidence it.
Laser engraving on the comb spine produces a crisp dark mark on bamboo and is the standard branding route. Talk through logo size with our OEM team before tooling, or browse the whole comb range first.

About Bamboo
Bamboo is one of the fastest-growing plants on earth, making it an exceptionally sustainable material choice. Bamboo hair brushes and combs are naturally anti-static, lightweight, and gentle on both hair and scalp. The material's natural antimicrobial properties make it hygienic for daily use.
At EcoHairFactory, our bamboo products are crafted from Moso bamboo — known for its strength and density. We use a carbonization process to enhance durability and resistance to moisture, ensuring each piece maintains its shape and finish through years of daily use.
Frequently Asked Questions
A comb tooth is a thin cantilever, so it splits along the grain if the material is weak in that direction. Hot-press lamination cross-bonds the bamboo strips, which makes the board far less prone to splitting.
Press the comb teeth-down into your palm. You should feel pressure spread across the whole surface, not individual points. Points mean the tips were cut and not sanded, and they scratch the scalp.
We finish bamboo in clear lacquer only. Under an opaque colour it looks like painted wood and loses the visible lamination lines that tell a customer at a glance that it is not plastic.
Our moso bamboo is FSC certified and we supply the certificate with its number and expiry, not just a logo. That matters if your packaging carries a sustainability claim.
