Pearl trim is easy to do badly. Glue a row of beads to a flat surface and you get a clip that looks fine in a photograph and starts shedding pearls in month two. This one puts the pearls in a channel cut into the edge of the acetate, so each bead is seated below the surface rather than sitting on it.

The channel is cut before polishing and each pearl is placed by hand. It is a slow operation and it is the entire difference between a pearl clip that survives a handbag and one that does not: a seated bead is held on three sides, and the point most likely to catch — the top of the bead — is the only part exposed.
It also changes how the piece reads. Beads glued flat sit in a straight line regardless of the shape underneath. Beads set into the edge follow the taper, so the pearl line curves with the clip.

All four colourways are pearlescent rather than solid, which is deliberate. A pearl trim on a flat opaque ground looks appliquéd; on a sheet with mica in it the pearls and the body pick up light together and the piece reads as one object.

At 7.6 cm this is a substantial clip — long enough to hold a half-up section on its own, which most decorated clips at this price are not. The 3.1 cm width at the wide end is what makes that possible; a narrower taper would look more delicate and hold considerably less.
7.6 × 3.1 × 1.7 cm, 8 g per piece. Gold-tone insert pin. Pearl size and spacing are both specifiable — a smaller, tighter run reads more formal, a larger, wider run reads more contemporary, and it costs the same either way.

Pantone color matching. For acetate: custom tortoiseshell, marble, and unique pattern designs.
Modify dimensions or create entirely new shapes. 2,000+ existing molds or develop new ones.
Kraft boxes, velvet pouches, blister packs, retail-ready display cards. Your brand on every package.
These are the stock colours this shape runs in. Any Pantone reference can be matched on top of them — colour is mixed into the material, not sprayed on the surface, so it never chips or fades.

Packaging is produced alongside the product and ships as one order. Printed packaging carries its own lead time, so tell us early which route you want.

Samples from an existing mould ship against a sample fee that is credited back against your first bulk order. Custom-tooled samples are quoted case by case.
Bulk production starts once the pre-production sample is approved in writing. Reorders of a running design are faster, because tooling and colour are already set.
FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are all available, by sea or by air, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. DDP is the simplest route for a first order.
Cellulose acetate is a plant-derived, biodegradable material made from wood pulp or cotton fibers. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, it breaks down naturally over time, making it an eco-friendly choice for premium hair accessories. Its unique properties allow for rich color patterns — from classic tortoiseshell to custom marble effects — that cannot be replicated with standard plastics.
As a manufacturer with 25+ years of experience, EcoHairFactory has mastered the intricate process of cellulose acetate production — from sheet selection and pattern matching to precision cutting and multi-stage hand polishing. Each piece undergoes 8–12 finishing steps to achieve the signature smooth, glossy surface that defines high-end acetate accessories.
Resin pearls as standard, with a coated finish. Glass pearls are available and add weight and cost; freshwater pearls we do not recommend on a clip this size because the drilling tolerance is too variable for a channel setting.
Each bead is seated in a cut channel rather than glued to a flat face, which is the failure most pearl clips have. We test a sample from every batch by dragging it face down across fabric.
Yes, both, at no tooling cost. Say what look you want at enquiry and we will sample two spacings so you can compare rather than guess.
Yes, and the cream and pale pink are the two that get specified for it. If you want a matched set we can cut the same taper at 5.5 cm as a companion piece.
