Almost every paddle brush on the market is built the same way: a moulded shell, a rubber cushion glued into it, and pins pushed through the rubber. It is cheap, it flexes pleasantly, and it is also where the brush fails — the cushion lifts at the edge, water gets underneath, and the pins start to lean.
This one has no cushion. The pins are set straight into a solid slab of cellulose acetate.

Drilling and setting into a hard body is slower than pushing pins into rubber, and it removes the cushion’s give — so this brush works differently in the hand. It does not absorb pressure. Every stroke transmits directly, which is what you want on a beard or on a wet section being smoothed, and what you do not want if you are brushing a scalp hard.
The upside is that there is nothing to delaminate. No glue line, no rubber to perish, no gap for water to sit in. On a product that lives in a bathroom, that is the whole argument.

Narrow for a paddle. At 40 mm across it is closer to a styling brush than to a scalp brush, which is deliberate — a narrow head gets under a jawline and along a hairline in a way a 70 mm paddle cannot. The 198 mm overall length puts the balance point right at the step where the handle meets the head.
The pins are ball-tipped nylon in seven rows. Ball tips matter more here than on a cushioned brush: with no give in the backing, a cut pin end would drag on skin.

Because the body is one piece of cut acetate rather than a moulded shell, the back is a continuous unbroken face of tortoiseshell — no seam, no join, no moulding sprue. Hold it against any moulded brush and the difference is immediate.
It is also the reason this brush photographs the way it does. The pattern is laminated through the sheet rather than printed on the surface, so it carries around the edges and through the full thickness. Full material notes are on our materials page.

Any pattern from our sheet library cuts into this profile — see the ten stock patterns. A matching wide-tooth comb runs in the same tortoiseshell so the two can be sold as a boxed pair, which outperforms singles on this product consistently.
The solid back is the best branding surface we make on any brush: flat, uninterrupted, and 198 mm long. It takes recessed ink-fill, hot foil and laser engraving, and unlike a cushioned brush there is no rubber panel eating the space.
MOQ is 1,000 pcs per design, the standard figure for cut acetate. See the full brush range, or send your brief to our OEM team for a quote within 24 hours.
Make this product your own. Every detail is customizable for orders meeting the MOQ.
Laser engraving, hot stamping, silk screen printing, or UV printing on product body and handle.
Pantone color matching. For acetate: custom tortoiseshell, marble, and unique pattern designs.
Modify dimensions or create entirely new shapes. 2,000+ existing molds or develop new ones.
Kraft boxes, velvet pouches, blister packs, retail-ready display cards. Your brand on every package.
These are the stock colours this shape runs in. Any Pantone reference can be matched on top of them — colour is mixed into the material, not sprayed on the surface, so it never chips or fades.
Send a Pantone code or a physical reference and we will match it on the sample before bulk. See the full pattern library →
The bristle set changes the feel, the target hair type and the price. All four run on this same body, so you can switch without new tooling.

Undecided? We will send one sample of each bristle type so you can compare them in hand before committing to bulk.
Packaging is produced alongside the product and ships as one order. Printed packaging carries its own lead time, so tell us early which route you want.

Samples from an existing mould ship against a sample fee that is credited back against your first bulk order. Custom-tooled samples are quoted case by case.
Bulk production starts once the pre-production sample is approved in writing. Reorders of a running design are faster, because tooling and colour are already set.
FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are all available, by sea or by air, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. DDP is the simplest route for a first order.
Cellulose acetate is a plant-derived, biodegradable material made from wood pulp or cotton fibers. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, it breaks down naturally over time, making it an eco-friendly choice for premium hair accessories. Its unique properties allow for rich color patterns — from classic tortoiseshell to custom marble effects — that cannot be replicated with standard plastics.
As a manufacturer with 25+ years of experience, EcoHairFactory has mastered the intricate process of cellulose acetate production — from sheet selection and pattern matching to precision cutting and multi-stage hand polishing. Each piece undergoes 8–12 finishing steps to achieve the signature smooth, glossy surface that defines high-end acetate accessories.
Because the cushion is where a paddle brush fails. It is glued in, and once the edge lifts, water gets underneath and the pins start to lean. Setting pins straight into solid acetate removes the glue line entirely. The trade-off is that the brush has no give, so it transmits pressure directly — right for a beard or a wet section, wrong for scrubbing a scalp.
It is narrow on purpose. A 70mm paddle is a scalp and detangling tool; at 40mm this gets under a jawline and along a hairline, which is what a grooming brush actually has to do. If you need a wide paddle we make those too, in beechwood.
Ball-tipped nylon, seven rows. Ball tips matter more here than on a cushioned brush — with no give in the backing, a cut pin end would drag on skin. We can supply boar, boar-and-nylon mix, or stainless steel pins on the same body.
Yes. We cut a matching wide-tooth comb from the same tortoiseshell sheet, so the pattern runs across both pieces — something you cannot do with two moulded products. Boxes are made to your own artwork.
