Most acetate clips lean on figuring — tortoiseshell, marble, confetti — to carry the piece. This one does the opposite. It is a flat triangle in a single solid colour, and everything it has to say it says through the shape and the edge polish.

A patterned sheet hides a lot. Slight variation in polish, a marginally soft edge, a faint mould line — the figuring breaks them up and the eye slides past. On a flat black or a flat cream triangle there is nothing to hide behind, so the finishing has to be right on every piece rather than right on average.
That is worth knowing when you compare quotes. A solid-colour clip in this shape is not the cheap version of a patterned one; the tooling is the same and the polishing is fussier.

This runs on an insert-pin base rather than a sprung duckbill: a gold-tone metal tongue that slides into a slot cut in the back of the acetate. It gives a flat back and a clean silhouette from the front, and it is the reason the clip sits close to the head instead of standing proud of it.
The trade-off is honest — an insert pin holds a modest section of hair well and is not the mechanism for a full twist. If you need something that takes weight, the sprung duckbill on our 7 cm thick side clip is the right neighbour in the range.

6.5 × 2.7 × 1.2 cm, 6 g per piece. Light enough to wear all day and thick enough at 1.2 cm that the edge reads as a bevel rather than a line. Colour matching to a Pantone reference is available at sampling; tell us the reference and we will confirm what is achievable in acetate before you commit.

Make this product your own. Every detail is customizable for orders meeting the MOQ.
Laser engraving, hot stamping, silk screen printing, or UV printing on product body and handle.
Pantone color matching. For acetate: custom tortoiseshell, marble, and unique pattern designs.
Modify dimensions or create entirely new shapes. 2,000+ existing molds or develop new ones.
Kraft boxes, velvet pouches, blister packs, retail-ready display cards. Your brand on every package.
These are the stock colours this shape runs in. Any Pantone reference can be matched on top of them — colour is mixed into the material, not sprayed on the surface, so it never chips or fades.
Send a Pantone code or a physical reference and we will match it on the sample before bulk. See the full pattern library →
Packaging is produced alongside the product and ships as one order. Printed packaging carries its own lead time, so tell us early which route you want.

Samples from an existing mould ship against a sample fee that is credited back against your first bulk order. Custom-tooled samples are quoted case by case.
Bulk production starts once the pre-production sample is approved in writing. Reorders of a running design are faster, because tooling and colour are already set.
FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP are all available, by sea or by air, from Shenzhen or Guangzhou. DDP is the simplest route for a first order.
Cellulose acetate is a plant-derived, biodegradable material made from wood pulp or cotton fibers. Unlike petroleum-based plastics, it breaks down naturally over time, making it an eco-friendly choice for premium hair accessories. Its unique properties allow for rich color patterns — from classic tortoiseshell to custom marble effects — that cannot be replicated with standard plastics.
As a manufacturer with 25+ years of experience, EcoHairFactory has mastered the intricate process of cellulose acetate production — from sheet selection and pattern matching to precision cutting and multi-stage hand polishing. Each piece undergoes 8–12 finishing steps to achieve the signature smooth, glossy surface that defines high-end acetate accessories.
Usually close, not always exact. Acetate is a cast material and the colour sits inside the sheet rather than on it, so some references — bright fluorescents especially — cannot be hit. Send the reference at enquiry and we will tell you honestly before sampling rather than after.
Because the flat back is the point of this shape. A sprung duckbill needs a base plate that stands off the acetate, and on a piece this slim that shows. The insert pin keeps the silhouette clean at the cost of holding less hair.
Plated, then lacquered. Lacquering after plating is what stops the finish going dull at the contact points where the pin rubs the slot.
Yes, at 500 pcs per colour. The tool is shared across every colourway, so a new colour costs a sheet run and nothing else.
500 pcs per design. Split across the six stock colours if you want the range without the depth.
